RTV Paint – Define Colour Book Library Location standard

The RTV Paint application will look in a user defined folder location for any colourbook files (.acb) from various paint manufacturers which can then be accessed and displayed through the RTV Paint user interface. When installing the RTV Paint plug-in you are provided with various manufacturers colourbooks which will be located in the default colourbook folder location on your machine as per below path. RTV Drawing Manager Project Database Creation standard

In order to create a Drawing Manager SQL project database for your current Revit Project you will need to make sure you have saved your current Revit Project with the required file name first as Drawing Manager will name the SQL database to match your Revit Project file name. Once you have selected your required Categories to capture the Revit Parameter Data for you can then also save the Category List for future use. Launch the Categories dialog box again by clicking the Categories button from the Reporter Ribbon The Right hand window will automatically display a list of ‘Recently Used Categories’ which you can select from to create a saved category list or by selecting categories from the left hand window. RTV Paint – Using the Colour Picker standard

With RTV Paint you can select predefined colours from the various manufacturers colour book files or you can use the Colour Picker to select your own user defined colour from the colour wheel.  The RTV Paint app will then find the closest matching colour from the current colour book chart along with similar and complimentary colours. RTV SPM Setup standard

In order for Shared Parameter Manager to manage your Shared Parameter files you will need to define the various parameter files to be actively managed and then import the parameters themselves from those files to the SPM SQL database. Your Revit application itself must of course have a default Shared Parameter File defined as the current parameter file, therefore when you launch SPM you will see that same parameter file and location already listed on the Settings Tab of the Ribbon. In addition to that if you have other Shared Parameter files then you will need to load those into SPM also to define them and manage them.
