First of all the actual Shared Parameter must be created first so that it appears in the data grid on the Family Parameter tab of the ribbon and then you can define the Parameter Properties respectively. Select the required Shared Parameter(s) from the SPM data grid that you are wanting to edit. You can either select individual parameters or multiple parameters at a time and then click the Parameter Properties button from the Ribbon. Depending on whether you have selected an individual parameter or multiple parameters the following Define Family Parameter dialog box will look slightly different. With Drawing Manager you can manage much more than just your own Revit Drawing Sheets for your project. You can also manage a range of External Documents whether they are your own external documents or another consultant’s external documents. There may be situations where you want to swap out and Replace an existing Family Parameter for a new one instead. This might be simply due to a Parameter Name changing, changing from Instance to Type parameter, or perhaps the type of parameter has changed from say Text based to Number based value. Drawing Manager allows you to export your Revit Project Sheets into various different file formats such as dwg/dxf, dwf, dwfx, pdf, IFC in the same way that you can from Revit directly. The advantage of using Drawing Manager is the ability to export to any combination of these file types simultaneously; either to separate export locations for each file type or to a common export location for all resulting file types. Select the required Sheets to be Exported from the Main User Interface data grid and then click the Export button from the Home Tab of the ribbon.

Once an Issue has been generated it will then be listed under the Issues Register dialog box which displays a full list of all issues stored in the Xporter Pro SQL Database outside of Revit. From here you select the required Transmittal Number in order to then generate an actual Report in PDF format that can of course accompany the actual issue media/ Drawings to the intended recipients. This tool is for when you have modified a Parameters values within SPM that has already been loaded into a Revit Family so it can update the Parameter values. This tool can also be used to simply switch a Parameter from Type to Instance or the other way around without changing the actual parameter value.
