RTV Drawing Manager Placing Views on Sheets standard

If you have existing Sheets created natively within Revit that have also got views already placed on them, then when you import the sheets into Drawing Manager it can detect that there are already views placed on the imported sheets as indicated by the icons below. Sheets that do not have any view icons in the column beside them are indicating that the sheet exists but no views have been placed on the sheet as yet. You will also note that sheets which do not contain views also do not report a drawing scale in the scale column until such time a view is placed on the sheet. This can of course still be done natively within Revit as you ...

RTV SPM Managing Family Parameters standard

As you are no doubt aware, just like we can bind a Project Parameter to a Shared Parameter, there is the need to Bind Family Parameters to a Shared parameter. In doing so it is not enough that the Parameter Name needs to match between the Revit Family and the Revit Project file, the GUID ID must also match in order for things to work as they should. Given that you cannot see the GUID related to a Parameter either in a Project or Family file environment with Revit natively this can make it difficult to ascertain when you only see the Parameter Name in Revit. Therefore SPM can make this process much easier to manage between the Project File ...

RTV Drawing Manager Adding Revisions to Sheets standard

One of the fundamental benefits of Drawing Manager is the ability to have virtually any Revision Format / Sequence needed on your Revit sheets and not being limited by restrictions of revision sequences natively within Revit itself. The built in Revit revision system restricts you to using either Alphanumeric or Numeric revision sequence but you need to predefine the sequence ahead of time to suit what you may need. This is an improvement in Revit native revisions but still not as flexible as revisions using Drawing Manager by comparison. With Drawing Manager the Revisions are stored outside of Revit in the SQL database meaning that you can utilize any Revision sequence or system as may be required to suit your ...
