Xporter Pro will keep logs of all Activity and display them on the Task Logs Palette. You can access the Task Log palette either by clicking the Task Log button from the Ribbon or directly click on the fly-out palette on the right of the main user interface. To view a specific Log file contents first select the required Task log in the List then click the View log File button below

Continue ReadingDuring the normal course of performing operations in Revit various Dialog boxes can result which require a response in order to dismiss the dialog box and proceed with intended operations. The same thing will inevitably occur when Xporter Pro runs Scheduled Tasks and for this reason we recommend that you leave the option to automatically close Revit dialogs during scheduled tasks turned on (default). Doing so will therefore dismiss any occurring dialog boxes allowing the process to run it’s course. If you turn this option off then your scheduled task may be prevented from completing during the intended after hours period if a dialog box occurs which requires manual input to proceed. Continue ReadingIn addition to Exporting sheets/views to various formats using Drawing Manager you can also print your sheets or views to your normal office printers – in fact you can even send the same set of drawings to two separate printers at the same time. Continue ReadingYou can Add a Parameter to an individual open Revit Family File but with SPM you can also do this as a bulk process by adding a selected parameter to ALL family files contained in a designated folder – including any subfolders. If you have a Revit family file already open in your current Revit session that is also in the root folder that you are wanting to add parameter bindings to then make sure you exit out of the family file first in order for SPM to add the bindings at a folder level. Users with Xporter Pro 2017 or older versions will still need to use the Remote Server GUI interface as outlined below. The Remote function is accessed from the main RTV Tools tab of the Revit Ribbon on the Xporter Pro panel. This will display the Xporter pro Remote window instead of the full Xporter Pro user interface whereby you will see only the settings and options required to set up a Remote task configuration.
