RTV Drawing Manager Revit View Exports standard

Drawing Manager allows you to export your Revit Project Views into various different file formats such as dwg/dxf, dwf, dwfx, pdf, IFC in the same way that you can from Revit directly. The advantage of using Drawing Manager is the ability to export to any combination of these file types simultaneously; either to separate export locations for each file type or to a common export location for all resulting file types. Select the required Sheets to be Exported from the Main User Interface data grid and then click the Export button from the Home Tab of the ribbon.

RTV Xporter Pro Batch Processes standard

Perhaps the most impressive and beneficial aspect of Xporter Pro which can save you literally hours of wasted unproductive time is the fact that you can create multiple Batch configurations for both Exporting and Printing then save them so they can be scheduled as a task to run after hours. When the scheduled task runs it will automatically open a session of Revit, open the project file, systematically start generating the export file formats and physical prints based on your settings held in the configuration files, and then close the Revit session when completed. This of course means that all of these processes can be done simultaneously by Xporter Pro after hours so that you don’t need to have your ...

RTV SPM Removing a Family Parameter standard

There may be situations when you may want to remove a Shared Parameter binding from a Revit Family. If the Parameter in the Family was originally created from a Shared Parameter file managed by SPM and added to the Revit Family then the Remove Parameter tool in SPM will allow you to remove the selected Parameter binding from the Family. If the Revit Family contains Parameters that were not created using SPM to begin with, for example if the family has come from an outside source, then using the Remove Parameter tool in SPM will not work as the parameter in question would therefore not appear in the SPM data grid to select it for removal. In this situation you ...

RTV SPM Show Family Parameters standard

Revit Families will contain a combination of Family Parameters and Shared Parameter bindings whether it is one of your own generated families or whether it has come from an another source. The Remove Parameter option in SPM will only work for Shared Parameters that exist within the SPM SQL database where by you can select a Shared Parameter from the data grid and then remove that parameter binding from the open Family file. The difference with the Show Parameters tool in SPM is that it will analyze the open Family file looking for ALL Family Parameters, including System Parameters, and not limiting you to Shared Parameters that are managed by SPM. Below is an example of a Door Family opened ...

RTV SPM Hidden Family Parameters standard

There may be occasions where you want to create a parameter within a Family file either for its own individual function or when used in combination with another formula driven parameter that you may not want to be ‘seen’ at a project level by the end user of the family. For this reason there is the ability to create a Shared Parameter making it a Hidden Parameter and then creating a Family Parameter binding which will do exactly that – you can see and access the parameter inside the Family Editor but it is not seen at a project level at all. To Do this make sure you have the required Revit Family file (.rfa) open in your current Revit ...
